Stories of a Generation
STORIES OF A GENERATION
‘Stories of a Generation with Pope Francis’ shares tales of elders from across the globe, told through the eyes of the young filmmakers under the age of 30. These are 18 incredible stories shot across the 5 continents throughout one year.
Inspired by Pope Francis’ book ‘Sharing the Wisdom of Time’, each of the four episodes of the docuseries touches upon one of the great themes that bring human beings together - love, dreams, struggle, work - through the events and experiences of women and men of different backgrounds, social statuses, cultures and religions.
Alongside stories from Martin Scorsese and Jane Goodall is New Zealander and climate scientist Dave Lowe. Lowe was the first person in the Southern Hemisphere to prove that C02 levels were rising and that climate change was undeniable. His team received a Nobel Peace Prize for their work and you can view his story in Episode 2 - Dreams.
